Rene Pelletier
Rene is the founder and principal of Headwaters Results Group. He combines more than 25 years of business
experience with graduate studies in leadership and team dynamics to bring winning programs and services to
Headwaters clients. He is well equipped as a workplace practitioner based on his work as leader, manager,
wildland guide, educator, senior business development executive, and consultant. Rene has acquired valuable
organizational and leadership knowledge in several private sector industries including; oil & gas, telecom, staffing,
aviation, eco-tourism, agriculture, consulting, education and retail. He currently serves as a faculty member at The
Banff Centre. A learner-centred educator with a passion for the improvement of
today's workplace, Rene delivers value by closely matching Headwater's abilities with his client's unique needs.
Lorissa Pelletier
Lorissa has worked as a dedicated human resources professional for a large multi-national organization and
delivering front-end service in financial services organizations. Managing and supporting expatriates, administering
policies and procedures, counseling, and supporting and educating staff has equipped Lorissa with a huge capacity
for the care, support, and service of others. A gifted facilitator with infectious enthusiasm for people and for life
makes Lorissa a treat to be around. She is also a farm girl and no stranger to hard work. Her three daughters think
she is the best mom in the world, and her husband agrees.
Andre Mamprin
Andre Mamprin is richly experienced in leadership development. Before co-creating The Next Institute, Andre served as Director of Leadership Development at The Banff Centre one of Canada's premier centres for leadership - where he led a renewal of their many
leadership development programs. He was instrumental in the design and delivery of leadership and organizational
development programs for a wide range of clients. Andre was co-architect of The Leadership Labâ„¢ exploring
issues of organizational leadership worldwide.
Andre earned a Masters Degree in Leadership and Knowledge Management and is an interdisciplinary thinker and
creative visionary with a keen ability to analyze and apply a systems approach to a host of strategic issues.
Dr. Bernie Potvin
Bernie is a senior leader, professor, author and consultant. He brings deep care, respect and experience to his
development of leaders and teams. His professional and development work has spanned the globe, including work
in The Dominican Republic, Kenya, Guatemala, Indonesia, China, England, Zambia, South Africa and Columbia. A
dedicated life-long learner, Bernie earned a PhD and is currently in a Doctor of Ministry program. His expertise in
program design and experience as superintendent, professor, educator, consultant, writer and lecturer allows him
to draw on both theory and practice when working with leaders, teams and organizations.
Alan De Kluyver
When Al is not bringing the best out of Headwater's program participants, he is a firefighter with the City of Calgary. His work ethic, commitment to community, outdoor skills and leadership qualities helped him to get there. Al is the founder of
Pneuma Outdoor Ministries and a first aid instructor with Emergency Medical responder
credentials. He is a visionary, a talented craftsman and has been a competitive mountain biker. Al brings a spark to the
programs he is involved with and a joy for life that engages those around him.
Colin Sheldon
Colin is an experienced business owner and consultant with a background in the oil & gas and high tech industries. He cofacilitates
many of headwater's Learning Adventure programs. Colin also plies his business and creative talent working in
film and television production through his own company, Perfect Pictures. He can capture
both still images and video footage of Headwater's programs for our clients that wish to have their experience live on
within their organization.
Jeremy Allan
Jeremy is an experienced and enthusiastic outdoorsman that has served as an instructor and leader of adventure-based
programs for both experienced and inexperienced youth and adults. He co-facilitates many of our outdoor Learning
Adventures and his care for people combined with his technical prowess helps to ensure the safety of our participants.
Jeremy's graduate degree is in geomatics so he is pretty handy to have around when we are out playing with GPSs and
compasses!
Dr. Stephen Hobbs
Educator, learner, leader, writer, author, facilitator, entrepreneur and world traveler describe Dr. Stephen Hobbs. Stephen's
experience spans over 25 years and six continents, as teacher, manager, coach and consultant within the corporate and
nonprofit sectors. His expertise in instructing and facilitating personal and group/team learning, combined with his
background in research and savvy writing skills enables Stephen to influence the lives of thousands.
Stephen has taught and facilitated courses through Mount Royal College, University of Calgary, Royal Roads University
and Capella University at the masters and doctoral level for more than 15 years and is a key instructor in the leadership
program for The Banff Centre in Alberta Canada. Stephen does a great deal of work in
the field of validated competencies, learning assessments and organizational culture through his company www.worldicu.ca
